Serving Veterans With Over 30 Years of Experience

Bubbles for Vets, an established scuba diving nonprofit organization, has a mission to aid veterans in their reintegration process through fostering engaging and interactive connections with their families. Our services are accessible to all disabled rated veterans and first responders in need. This non-profit organization is meticulously crafted by veterans, for veterans, ensuring a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs of those who have served. With over 30 years of diving experience, including service in Special Operations as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Tech, Tony brings invaluable expertise to our cause. Following his military career, he continued his service as a Government civilian, eventually relocating to Tampa, Florida.

We are extremely blessed to have veterans in every facet of the organization.

What We Do

  • Bubbles for Vets invites veterans with disability ratings and their families to a transformative scuba diving experience. By participating in a shared scuba diving adventure, families create cherished memories and rediscover the joy of spending quality time with one another. As a family, engaging in a challenging and rewarding activity like scuba diving can foster healing, trust, and communication within the family unit. This family unit is always our first priority.

  • We provide our services to both disables veterans and first responders. Our goal is to use our "Trauma Informed Instruction" to break through the walls people build up over years of dealing with all sorts of trauma. We don't need to know what that trauma is, to work through it.

  • We're dedicated to ensuring that disabled veterans and first responders can fully participate in our program without financial burden. All expenses, including roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, and meals, are covered. Additionally, scuba diving gear will be lent to the families by Bubbles for Vets, ensuring that every participant has access to the necessary equipment for a fulfilling experience.

  • We customize swimming aids to suit individual needs, which may include webbed gloves, specialized fins, and gear attachments for limbs. We aim to ensure that every participant can fully engage in the program, regardless of any physical limitations they may have.

  • Diving has been scientifically proven to aid individuals in coping with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and serves as a preventative measure against suicide. Research supports that the introduction of scuba diving has led to a significant decrease in the number of veterans who succumb to suicide, approaching nearly zero.

  • Counselors on staff to help discuss concerns and offer support as needed to our veterans and their families.
